BIM management and specialist services
Independent BIM specialists working alongside your team to coordinate and simplify complex workflows and ensure consistency

Solutions to streamline BIM workflows and provide seamless integration
We know the field can sometimes feel crowded with broad promises and mixed messages. Our approach is different – we focus on ‘practical BIM’; clear, useful, and genuinely supportive of real project outcomes.
Building projects in New Zealand are unique. They’re usually undertaken by a collection of separate companies, providing their own specialist services, using their own software and processes.
There aren’t any easy-to-follow New Zealand focused BIM instruction guides. The NZ BIM Handbook is a great resource to help understand the broad concepts and direction our industry should be heading – it’s left to you to try and figure out the challenges of integration, consistency and efficiency themselves.
We’ve made it our mission to simplify integration leading to seamless coordination between multi-disciplinary teams. Afterall – you’re all after the same outcome.

Putting the ‘manage’ back into BIM management
BIM management isn’t about clash detection or coordination, it’s about ensuring everyone is doing what they agreed to do, to achieve the required results.
It’s recognising that, while those involved in a project are experts in their own fields, the collaboration and information sharing BIM tools we use require a high level of technical understanding that not everyone has.
A good BIM manager can recognise these gaps and work with everyone to deliver what is expected. They need to be effective planners and organisers, technically competent, have outstanding communication skills, be effective leaders, proficient risk managers, excel in problem solving and above all be client-focused.
It’s rare to find a BIM manager that has expertise in all these areas – that’s where we come in. Our team has been using these tools for 30+ years – we know how to make projects run seamlessly and we’re here to help.
Everyone on the same page from day one
Effective BIM implementation starts with clear standards and robust planning. Our independent BIM specialists work alongside your team to create and maintain the frameworks that ensure consistency, accuracy, and collaboration across the entire building lifecycle.
By setting up these standards, we help you avoid rework, streamline coordination, and deliver accurate digital models that add value at every step. Our approach ensures everyone is working towards the same objectives, right from day one.
Key steps in BIM set-up and standards include:
BIM planning
Strategic digital planning tailored to your organisation, defining project goals, responsibilities, workflows, and information requirements from the start. The focus is on practical and fit-for-purpose solutions.
Model templates
Development of standardised templates to ensure consistency in modelling practices and outputs across disciplines.
Shared parameters
Establishment of common parameters for data exchange, enabling seamless integration and coordination between design, engineering, and construction teams.
Naming conventions
Implementation of clear, logical naming standards for files, models, and elements, reducing confusion and supporting efficient collaboration.
Filling the gaps
Let us help with these key roles
Client BIM advisor
Our BIM advisors work within your planning team to make the most of technology for your built infrastructure and environment. They’ll help with awareness of benefits and risks and demonstrate how BIM can help you reach your objectives and goals.
Services include:
- strategic planning and advice
- defining asset information requirements
- managing the facility models and documentation.
Project BIM management
We work alongside your project manager to ensure all parties are working to meet the project BIM brief requirements.
Services vary depending on the scope of the project, but include:
- establishing a project BIM brief – client requirements
- establishing the project BIM execution plan (BEP) which describes how everyone works together to deliver on the brief
- conducting regular reviews and ensuring everyone is sticking to the plan
- mediating technical BIM issues between participants
- identifying risks that could affect the successful outcome.
Client BIM representative
BIM processes are already likely to be used by design consultants and construction companies within your built asset projects, whether they are following a specific BIM brief or not.
As well as this, there are a growing number of companies offering all-encompassing BIM services. We provide independent advice on those specialist offerings to ensure they are relevant to your project and overall goals.
As your client BIM representative, our services include:
- ensuring BIM services proposed by others are relevant and practical
- investigating BIM models to make sure they are fit-for-purpose
- model clash detection services during the design and/or construction stage to ensure that solutions that have been modelled have been coordinated properly.
